MAGNETIC MATERIALS

Magnetorheological Fluid (MRF) & Ferrofluid

A magnetorheological fluid (MR fluid, or MRF) is a type of smart fluid in a carrier fluid, usually a type of oil. When subjected to a magnetic field, the fluid greatly increases its apparent viscosity, to the point of becoming a viscoelastic solid. The Magneto-Rheological-Fluid (MRF) technology is one of the old "newcomers" coming to the market at high speed. The world is full of potential MRF applications. For every system where it is desirable to control motion using a fluid with changing viscosity, a solution based on MRF technology may be an improvement in functionality and costs. Simplicity and more intelligence in the functionality are key features of the MRF technology. Excellent features like fast response, simple interface between electrical power input and the mechanical power output, and controllability make MRF the next technology of choice for many applications. Direct shear mode (used in brakes and clutches) and valve mode (used in dampers) have been studied thoroughly and several products are already present in the market. Future developments include an increase in the acceptable lifespan of MRF devices, in terms of the total energy dissipated from the equipment throughout its working lifetime and fluids with higher shear regimes. Current market is still using between 1-20 micron particles for MRF. ABM Nano innovated manufacturing process making Nanosized Iron Particles which is a groundbreaking achievement. The MR Fluid quality exceeds any suppliers in the field. Please feel free to contact us for any inquiries.

NdFeB (Neodymium-Iron-Boron)

The most powerful permanent magnets available today are the Rare Earths types. Of the Rare Earths, Neodymium-Iron-Boron magnets are the strongest. NdFeB have replaced other types of magnets in many applications in modern products that require strong permanent magnets including Electric Vehicles. ABM Nano supply NdFeB (Neodymium-Iron-Boron) Nano Powder. Neodymium magnets are frequently used for many types of consumer, commercial, industrial & technical applications where strong permanent magnets are required. Due to their high-magnetic Strength, components that previously had to be large and heavy can now be miniaturized by using Neodymium magnet material.
